Masedi Ranyane is an award-winning Cinematographer and Director based in Cape Town, South Africa, known for his bold visual style and exceptional storytelling. Born and raised in Bloemfontein, Masedi's filmmaking journey began in his childhood with the creation of 'No Boarderz,' a skateboard team he co-founded with his best friend. Their filming adventures, initially captured on mobile devices, sparked his enduring passion for visual storytelling.
In 2018, Masedi took his passion to new heights, relocating to Cape Town to study Film. Since then, his creative drive has led him to explore various media content, including music videos, short films, and commercials, all infused with his distinctive dynamic artistry.
With a portfolio featuring collaborations with renowned brands like Audi, Daniel Wellington, Haval, Totalsport, Engen, and Strettons Gin, Masedi has also directed and shot music videos for acclaimed artists such as Prince Kaybee, DJ Shimza, Vscript, and more.
